Travel Tattoos

Get Up and GO!

This is part two of my whole series of travel tattoos! I have quite a few more…I guess I’m a little obsessed.

Why I Got This Tattoo?

This was such a random, spontaneous tattoo. I was looking at tattoo ideas on Pinterest and one idea stuck out to me. It was a “GO” tattoo but the “O” was replaced with a globe.

Then it hit me! How about I put the London eye I place of the “O”!? It was such a brilliant idea to me. I figured that since I was already in New York, and the tattoo shop I normally go to is 30 minutes away, why don’t I just get it now?

Thankfully I was able to get this tattoo as a walk in with my normal artists, and I haven’t regretted my decision!

My Love for England

Did I mention how much I love London? It has always been a dream of mine to travel there, and I was able to do that in college! Since I didn’t get a tattoo while I was in London, I figured this tattoo could also represent my study abroad time.

Either way, this tattoo illustrates my love for England and how my dream became a reality for me!

What This Means To Me

Who ever said spontaneous tattoos can’t be meaningful? I beg to differ! Even though this was a spur of the moment tattoo, it means everything to me. It means that I can do anything I set my mind to, that you have to be patient with yourself, and to never give up on the things you want to do in life.

This tattoo reminds me to think to myself, “where there’s a will, there’s a way”, and I am willing to go all the way to make things happen! The tattoo is in capital lettering, which screams at me to “GET UP AND GO!”. Sometimes in life you have to do things in the moment, take it for what it is right now, and that you’ll never accomplish anything by being idle.

That’s exactly what I did with this tattoo and that is what I’m going to do from now on. When I can, I’m going to GET UP AND GO!
