GCBBlogs - questions

How Long Have You Been Blogging?

I started blogging in April 2020. So, I’ve been blogging for 2 months now! It seems as though I’ve been doing this forever, but when I take a step back I realize that only a couple of months have passed.

Why Did You Start Your Blog?

I started my blog for a couple of reasons. First reason being that I love to write! I created a whole blog post about this, but basically I used to write when I was younger and this pandemic gave me the perfect opportunity to get back into writing. Since I am blessed to be able to work from home, I have more time to write and promote my blog!

Another reason why I started my blog is because I wanted to share my travel tips, tricks, and experience with others! I absolutely love to travel and I wanted to connect with others who share the same passion as well. Even if others aren’t into traveling, or they’re thinking about traveling, or come from a different niche of writing, I just want the opportunity to connect and engage with other people!

If You Could Have Any Animal As A Pet, What Would It Be And Why?

This is a tough one as I have 2 animals in mind. Between the two, I’d say a sugar glider. I absolutely love these cute little animals and I hope to have about 2 or 3 sugar gliders in the future. There’s something about them; be it their cute appearance, their ability to glide through the air like a flying squirrel, or how they’re not your average household pets that makes them so appealing to me. Unfortunately, in the state of Pennsylvania they’re illegal to own but I hope that changes in the future!

If You Had To Listen To One Musical Artist For The Rest Of Eternity, Who Would It Be?

This is such a tough one! I have so many artists in mind and it’s difficult to pick one I’d prefer to listen to forever. I think I’d go with Ne-Yo. He’s an American singer and songwriter that comes under the Hip-Hop, R&B Soul, and Pop music genres. No matter what mood I’m in, I’m always down to listen to any song of his!

Do You Have Any Regrets?

I’ve made a lot of questionable choices in the past, and I’ve done some things that I question to this day whether it was the right call to make. No matter the outcome of those actions or decisions, for better or worse they have brought me to the path I’m on today. They’ve help to mold and shape the person I am today and even if the outcomes of my past weren’t the best, they have offered numerous life lessons and teachable moments. So, I guess I don’t have any regrets but I do have lots of questions about things I’ve done in the past.

How Old Were You When You Found Out Santa Wasn’t Real?

I guess I was probably 8 or 9 years old. As I got older, and had to have my mom sign a lot of permission slips for school, I started to notice how she wrote and signed her name. When I was 8 or 9 years old, I noticed the signature on my presents were the exact same as the signatures on my permission slips. That’s when I knew that Santa wasn’t real.

If You Could Have One Super Power, What Would It Be?

I’ve always been fascinated by telepathy or telekinesis. But I’d go with telepathy. It such a cool thing to be able to communicate or see other people’s thoughts and ideas.

Who Is Your Biggest Motivation?

I don’t have a person in mind, and I honestly don’t think I’ve ever had someone in mind, who motivates me. I just never really looked up to anyone in that light. While I admire people who are successful, I’ve never felt that they motivated me in any capacity.

What I will say that motivates me are my passions and the ability to accomplish my goals. My goals and passions are what keep me going in life. I don’t care about making millions of dollars honestly, but I strive to broaden my mind and explore different places. Those are just some of my passions and goals in life, and that is what really motivates me to do what I do to accomplish them. When I’m able to accomplish a passion or goal of mine, this provides me with a fulfilling, humbling, and happy mindset.

Which Blog Post Are You Most Proud Of Writing?

I have so many posts that I’m proud of and that brought me great joy to write about. If I had to choose only one, I’d say my blog post, “The Wait was Finally Over”, is the one I’m most proud of. It doesn’t have any tips or tricks in it, but personally it makes me so proud.

I’m proud of the fact that I was able to overcome a struggle that had persisted for years when I was younger, and how now I’m able to write about my success. This post makes me reflect on all the bumps in the road I encountered, how supportive my family was even though they couldn’t do much to help me, and how I never gave up on my dreams! This post makes me so happy, fulfilled, and satisfied because I can look back on it now and say ” Yes girl, you did it and nothing stopped you!”.

If You Could Change Your Name To Anything, What Would It Be?

Honestly, I would probably have my name changed to JoJo. JoJo isn’t my real name but it’s what I prefer to be known by. Ever since I was a child, most people (for some reason) had difficulties either pronouncing my name or remembering my name. I’d say 7/10 times I was called the incorrect name. That’s why when I was like 6 years old I told everyone to call me JoJo.

JoJo is a short, easy nickname that everyone remembers. It’s also a fun, cute little name and I’d be more than happy to legally change my name to JoJo. I mean 99.9% of the time, except for when I’m at work as I work with lots of professionals and the state, and I have to go by my real name, I’m called JoJo. So, might as well change it to that right?
