My 2021 Travel Bucket List

2020 has been a year I think we’ll all remember for years to come. It’s been a very stressful and hard year on all of us. Not to mention how many travel plans and trips were canceled, we look forward to a better year in 2021. Travelers are hoping for a year that can be filled with new travel adventures!

I know I’m one of them! I’m looking forward to a new and exciting year with less restrictions for travel. I’m anxious to see what the future holds for traveling. As long as travel is allowed, and we can do it safely, I plan to travel to some new places in 2021.

The places I have written out are mostly new with the few exception of places I’ve already been to. I’ve picked these places for specific reasons. The first reason is because of this pandemic. Due to COVID, I’m not sure if other countries would allow international travel or people from the USA to travel. So, I’ve decided to play it safe and pick one country, for the time being at least, to travel to. The second reason is because of my travel goals. I have two travel goals I’d like to accomplish every year: to travel to a new country and to a new state. It’s important to me to visit all 50 states in the USA and to experience new countries as often as I can.

With the pandemic, like I’ve mentioned, I picked a country I’ve been to before. However, if I can manage I’d love to visit a new European country when I’m in England. It’s just easier to get to Europe from the UK than it is from the USA. Since international travel may be limited next year, I’d have more opportunities to travel within my own country. Hence why I’ve put down so many states on my list. Without further ado, here’s what I have planned for my 2021 travel bucket list.

1. Utah

This is going to be an exciting trip in the new year! Why? Because this is the first trip I’m planning on doing SOLO! That’s right, I’m going to solo travel for the first time! I’ll be traveling from Pennsylvania to Utah and I’m planning on visiting a couple (at least) of the amazing national parks in Utah! I’m planning on filming the whole process of planning a solo trip from start to finish. I’ll be filming my research for the trip, how I’m going to pack for the trip, vlog the whole experience (of course), my return home and thoughts on the experience. So, if you’re not subscribed to my YouTube channel then you can click here to stay up to date on this exciting trip and others I plan on taking!

2. England

If you’ve been following my blog and social media accounts then you’ll know my love for England. I absolutely love England; it’s one of those places I’ll continue to visit time and time again and never get bored of! There’s always something new to explore; I know the last time I was there I didn’t see a lot of things and I’d love to see them next year. There’s also another reason why I want to visit England, I wanted this to be a present to myself for completing my graduate program! It’s a nice treat for myself.

Finally, the last reason why I want to go to England is to try to visit another country in Europe. From my study abroad experience in 2015, I’ve found it to be very easy to get to other countries from England. It’s a lot easier than going to a new place straight from the USA, so if I have enough time I’d like to get the chance to visit someplace new.

3. Ohio

To tell you the truth, I’ve been to Ohio about 2-3 times now. Why am I going back? I’m going to visit my best friend I met when I studies abroad in 2015! It’s a tradition now where we visit each other every year in Ohio and in a new state. Because of COVID this year I couldn’t visit her but I plan on visiting her in 2021.

4. Road Trip: Massachusetts & Vermont

This is going to be another fun trip that I hope I can take! I’ve been to Massachusetts before but never to Vermont. On this road trip I’d love to visit a different part of MA and spend more time exploring Vermont in October. It’s beautiful in the New England area of the USA during the fall and a road trip would be a wonder way to see the fall foliage.

5. Arizona

I’ve always wanted to go to Arizona and see the Grand Canyon! In addition to the other parks in the state, it’ll be a new state to add to my bucket list! If my boyfriend’s step-sister, who happens to live in Arizona, is up for exploring the state it’ll be a fun family trip.

6. Las Vegas

Last but not least, Las Vegas! I’ve stated in a couple of tweets how excited I was to be going with my friend to Las Vegas this December. However, because of the pandemic my friend decided she didn’t want to go on the trip. Since Vegas is the type of place where you’d have more fun with friends, we’ve decided to postpone the trip until next year! Hopefully, in 2021 we can take our bestie trip and have a great time in the city of sin!

I have the months in mind for the trips I plan to take in 2021. It’s more of a tentative schedule as things are subject to change depending on the pandemic, work, and general life events. However, if I play my cards right, I can take all these trips throughout the year! I’m looking forward to these trips, the first being my solo trip to Utah, and I’m praying that things will go our way for travel.

It’s been a tough year for travelers everywhere but I’m confident we can catch up on our misses travels, in addition to some new ones, in the new year! I hope you all enjoy your holiday season!
